Introduction
The examination process is a cornerstone of academic integrity and professional development. These procedures are designed to uphold the highest standards of transparency, ethical conduct, and fairness for all stakeholders—trainers, trainees, and administrative staff. All participants are expected to adhere strictly to these guidelines to ensure a credible and trustworthy testing environment.
1. Procedures for Lab Administrators
- The exam schedule must be finalized and published by 12:00 PM on the day preceding any examination.
- Exams must follow the official tracker. Changes require section head approval.
- Submit all exam materials at least 24 working hours before the exam.
- A daily exam calendar will be published for clarity and transparency.
- Groups taking the same exam should ideally be scheduled for the same time slot.
2. Responsibilities of Trainers
- Trainers must arrive on time with trainees. Late arrivals lead to exam cancellation.
- Check academic IDs. No trainee without ID may sit the exam.
- Give out passwords only after confirming all trainees are seated and compliant.
- Actively supervise trainees during the exam.
- No question translation or explanation is allowed.
- Provide calculators if needed.
- Report technical issues to the lab officer immediately.
- Upload grades to APEX by the following day.
- Use the official control document for exams and upload it within one working day.
- The passing mark for practical exams is 60%.
3. Expectations for Trainees
- Store all belongings (phones, watches, etc.) in lockers.
- Each exam hour has a unique password. Late arrivals (after 5 mins) may not test.
- No food or drinks in the lab.
- No cheating or unauthorized devices. Violations will lead to disciplinary action.
- No breaks during exams.
- Exam materials must not leave the lab.
- Remain in the room for at least 15 minutes before leaving.
4. Retake Examination Policy
- Retakes occur daily at 3:00 PM in Lab B100.
- Trainers must report retake candidates to the academic advisor by 12:00 PM the next day.
- Absentees must be reported by email to initiate action.
- No retakes for oral exams.
- Second Attempt: Max grade 80%, computer score 60%. Inform advisor.
- Third Attempt: Approval required. Max grade 70%, computer score 60%.
